1. Data Controller

The data controller is MAI Team, operating online at www.maiteam.app. For any privacy-related requests, contact us at: privacy@maiteam.app.

2. Data Collected

We collect registration data (name, email, encrypted password), profile data, conversation contents with AI agents, navigation data (IP, browser, pages visited), and usage data. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store credit card numbers.

3. Purpose of Processing

Data is processed for: service delivery, service improvement, communications (with consent), legal obligations, and displaying relevant advertisements through Google AdSense and affiliate programs.

4. Legal Basis

Processing is based on: contract execution (Art. 6.1.b GDPR), consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), and legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 30 days. Navigation data for up to 26 months. Billing data for 10 years as required by tax regulations. AI conversations until user deletion.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with: Stripe (payments), Groq/AI providers (anonymized), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Google AdSense (advertising), and Resend (emails).

6.1 Advertising and Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, Google's advertising service, to display ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, advertising identifiers and similar technologies (including browser local storage), such as the __gads and __gpi cookies, to serve ads, limit how often an ad is shown, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud and abuse. Ads may be personalized based on your browsing activity or non-personalized (contextual).

• Third parties involved: Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) and its advertising partners. For the data Google processes for these purposes, Google acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
• Purposes: ad delivery, frequency capping and measurement; fraud and abuse prevention; ad personalization where permitted.
• Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR and Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive) for non-essential cookies and identifiers and for personalized ads, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
• How to withdraw or change your choices: manage your Google ad preferences at adssettings.google.com, change your browser settings, or delete cookies and site data from your browser. To opt out of interest-based advertising from multiple providers you can use youronlinechoices.eu (EU) or optout.aboutads.info (US). You can also write to privacy@maiteam.app. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and consent withdrawal. Contact privacy@maiteam.app to exercise these rights.

8. Data Security

We implement TLS 1.3 encryption, at-rest database encryption, JWT authentication, bcrypt password hashing, restricted data access, and regular backups.
